Trousers, reloaded

Ich bin immer noch am Spielen - keine Zeit und Kraft was größeres zu anfangen (nähtechnisch), daher beschäftige ich mich mit Aufpeppen, Abändern - und daraus Lernen.
Ich habe mehrmahls betont, dass mir die jetzige Mode nicht so ganz gefällt - viel zu viel von den 80gern. Keine Kraft kann mich in eine Leggings, Fledermausärmel oder Neonfarben zwingen. Von Schulterpolstern ganz zu schweigen. Aber einen der 80ger Trends mag ich doch - Dandy Style. I trage sehr gerne maskuline Hosen, Jacketts, Westen, Krawatten, flache Schuhe. Nur - es ist verdammt schwer eine anständige maskuline Hose für meine (untenrum) weibliche Figur zu finden. Und noch schwieriger ist es eine Wolltuchhose für Frau zu finden, die nicht die Welt kostet (mit Polyester habe ich so meine Schwierigkeiten und zwar nicht aus den Öko-Gründen). Und ich kann es wirklich nicht übers Herz (oder Geiz) bringen, viel Geld für Kleidungsstück auszugeben, was garantiert nicht sitzen wird - vor allem Hosentechnisch.
Eine andere Lösung müsste her. Die ergab sich als mein Mann seinen Schrank aufräumte und die Hosen, aus denen er "rausgewachsen" war, aussortierte.

I am still playing, not having time (or power) to pick up a bigger sewing project, I am working on smaller ones - making changes, pimping, learning a lot while doing this.
I am not very happy with recent fashion trends - 80's are coming back, and I hate almost everything about 80's fashion (typically - everyone seams to hate the period in which he/she was growing up, why?!). Nothing in the world could force me to wear leggings, wide sleeves, neon colors or shoulder pads (okay, if its be a question of saving anyones life - I would do). There is an exception though - I really love dandy style. I love to wear trousers, jackets, vests, ties, flat shoes. Unfortunately it's not easy to find good masculine trousers, fitting my "feminine" (=fat bottomed) body. If you find any - they're made of polyester. Womans trousers made of woolen cloth are far more expensive than those for men. And I am not ready to spend a lot of money for piece of cloth that surely will not fit.
So I considered it a good occasion when my husband decided to throw his old great trousers away - they were not damaged, but he "grew out" of them.

Jak juz wielokrotnie napomykalam - nie lubie obecnej mody, za bardzo wyglada ona na lata 80te - nic nie jest w stanie wbic mnie w legginsy, bluzki-nietoperze, nenowe kolory czy nieszczesne poduszki naramienne (brr po trzykroc). Ale - jeden z aspektow obecnej mody lubie - styl na dandysa. Uwielbiam nosic meskie spodnie, marynarki, kamizelki, krawaty i plaskie meskie buty.
Sek w tym, ze wcale nie latwo jest dostac klasyczne "meskie" spodnie na moja czesciowo kobieca figure. Czesciowo, gdyz kobieca jest tylko od talii w dol - okragle uda, duzy tylek, i to nawet nie tyle szeroki ile odstajacy (nazwijmy go naturalna tiurniura, patrz fota w dzinsach). Poza tym sukienne spodnie dla kobiet sa najczesciej szyte z poliestrow, ktorych to nie znosze (ze wzajemnoscia zreszta). Zupelnie nie rozumiem dlaczego za damskie welniane spodnie trzeba wydac majatek (mniej wiecej 2x tyle ile za podobne meskie). A ze moj chlopski rozsadek ma problem z wydaniem kupy kasy na cos co na pewno nie bedzie dobrze lezec - trzeba bylo szukac innych rozwiazan.
Takowe nasunelo sie po tym jak moj maz odgruzowal swoja szafe i postanowil rozstac sie ze spodniami z ktorych byl wyrosl.



Normalerweise trage ich etwa 31'' Weite und 32'' Länge, die Hose meines Mannes waren 34/34. 2 Stück, identisch geschnitten, einmal in anthrazit und in taubengrau. Ich sah in denen wie ein Weisenkind aus.

I usually wear something like w31/l32. Those troursers were w34/l34 - 2 almost identical pieces of them - very dark gray and dove gray ones. I look kinda clochard like wearing them, dont'I?

Wydaje mi sie ze nosze spodnie w rozmiarze 31''(szerokosc) /32'' (dlugosc). Spodnie meza - sztuki dwie o identycznym kroju - antracytowe i szarogolebie - mialy rozmiar 34/34. Wygladam w nich jak chaplinowski brzdac, nieprawdaz?




Zuerst dachte ich, das Vorhaben ist zum Scheitern verurteilt. Die Hose war sehr gut verarbeitet, ich wollte dies nicht zerstören, weil es klar war dass ich die Konfektionierung niemals annähernd gut hinkriege. Die Taschen haben mir aus Sorgen bereitet - zu viel, zu breit, zu groß.

First I thought there is no way to fit them. The great finish inside was also a trouble - I didn't want to damage it, but how was I supposed to change side seams without cutting the fabric? Another problem were back pocekts - way too big.

Z poczatku wydawalo sie ze w ogole nie mam szans i ze spodni nie da sie na mnie dospasowac. Primo po pierwsze - sa swietnie wykoczone i bolalo mnie serce na mysl ze miala bym te konfekcje rozpruc czy pociac, na pewno zas nie udalo by mi sie jej "odrestaurowac". Poza tym kieszenie - przednie i tylne, za duze, ostajace, katastrofa.



Dann habe ich doch einen alten Schnitt genommen, nach welchem ich vor 10 Jahren (und 8kg) bereits Hose genäht habe und - meine Überraschung war groß. Sehr. Es hat sich rausgestellt dass ich an den Vorderteilen absolut nichts ändern muss. Erstaunlich, nicht?
Ich musste nur die hintere Mittelnahr ändern, die Kurve viel runder gestalten. Und die inneren Beinnähte müssten auch geändert werden - hier müsste ich etwas Stoff von den hinteren Hosenbeinen rausschneiden. Das war's.

I took one of my old sewing patterns I had used previously (it means 10 years and almost 8 kg ago) and tried to match it with the shape of those pants. It was quite surprisingly - the width of the front part was perfect, there was no need to open side seams! I had only to change the back middle-seam ond the inside seams of the legs. I cut out really a lot of fabric - but only from the back pattern, the forepart is left unchanged!

Wzielam jednak jeden z posiadanych wykrojow (spodnie z niego szylam 10 lat i 8 kg temu, ups, wtedy lezaly swietnie) i okazalo sie ze przodu w ogole zmieniac nie musze - caly wykroj meskich spodni w wiekszym rozmiarze pokrywal sie z moim papierowym modelem.
Zmiany byly konieczne tylko z tylu i w zasadzie tylko w dwoch miejscach - srodkowy szew na tylku i wewnetrzne szwy nogawek. Przy szwie srodkowym musialam wybrac sporo materialu i skorygowac podkroj na bardziej odpowiedni dla mojej skoczni narciarskiej, przy wewnetrznych szwach nogawek musialam wybrac takze kilka ladnych centymwtrow, ale tylko z tylnego wykroju nogawki. Przedni zostal niezmieniony.




Ich finde die fertige Hose lässt sich sehen. Klar dass sie nicht perfekt ist, vor allem hat sie einen "Katzenbart" - auch wenn viel weniger ausgeprägt als alle anderen Hosen sie ich je besaß. Das liegt aber an meiner Figur.

I am quite glad how the trousers turned out. Of course they are not perfect - but I will have no problem to wear them.
The gray ones will be changed the same way too.

C'est voila! Na pewno dadza sie nosic, choc pare mankamentow oczywiscie maja. W zasadzie jeden DUZY - zyluja sie w okolicach kroku. Wynika to z mojej sylwetki - naleze przynajmniej w dolnej czesci ciala do kategorii "sprezystej", do tego jeszcze o zmienionej rownowazni, tj mam miednice przechylona do przodu.




Mein Becken ist wohl nach vorne gekippt, daher brauche ich niedrigere Leibhöhe vorne. Ist da zuviel Stoff - faltet es sich und so entsteht der "falsche" Katzenbart (wie ihn Michou bezeichnet). Ändern werde ich das wohl nicht - der Innenverarbeitung und des Mängels an Fachwissen wegen.

I am afraid I have no chance to avoid horizontal pleats in the front - they are caused by too much fabric - I should lower the front waist line, but I am not really able to ...

W zwiazku z czem nalezalo by obnizyc troche podkroj talii z przodu i wtedy powinno byc ok. No ale tego nie zrobie, chocby ze wzgledu na konfekcje wewnetrzna moich spodni. Choc moze przy przerabianiu tych jasniejszych cos wykombinuje? Albo bede nosic pasek ...
